SocioTown Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to SocioTown ("the Game," "the Service"), operated by OUTSIDE THE BOX SOFTWARE ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account, accessing, or using SocioTown, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not create an account or use the Service.

2. Eligibility and Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use SocioTown. If you are between the ages of 13 and 17, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf, and that you have their permission to use the Service. We may request verifiable parental consent at any time and may suspend or terminate accounts where age or consent requirements cannot be confirmed.

SocioTown is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that a user under 13 has created an account, we will take steps to close that account and delete associated personal information.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it up to date. You may not share your account, buy or sell accounts, or allow anyone else to access the Service using your login.

4. Code of Conduct

While using SocioTown, you agree that you will not:

• Harass, bully, threaten, or demean other players;
• Post or transmit content that is obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or sexually explicit;
• Impersonate another person, staff member, or entity;
• Share personal information about yourself or others (real name, address, phone number, school, social media handles, etc.) in public or semi-public areas of the Game;
• Advertise, solicit, or attempt to direct other users to third-party sites, services, or communities;
• Use cheats, exploits, bots, automation tools, or unauthorized third-party software to gain an advantage;
• Attempt to disrupt, hack, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts;
• Buy, sell, or trade accounts, in-game items, or in-game currency for real-world money or goods outside of officially sanctioned channels;
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

We reserve the right to remove content, restrict features, suspend, or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

5. User-Generated Content

SocioTown may allow you to create or customize content such as your avatar, profile information, chat messages, or other in-game content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of the User Content you create, but by submitting it you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and modify that content as necessary to operate, promote, and improve the Service.

You are solely responsible for the User Content you submit. We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, filter, edit, or remove User Content at any time.

6. Virtual Items and Virtual Currency

SocioTown may offer virtual items, virtual currency, or other virtual goods ("Virtual Items"). Virtual Items are licensed to you for use within the Service only — they are not real currency, property, or a financial instrument, have no cash value, and cannot be redeemed, exchanged, or transferred for real money except where we explicitly offer such a feature. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any Virtual Item at any time. Purchases of Virtual Items are generally final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of SocioTown may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. Prices, billing terms, and cancellation policies will be presented to you at the time of purchase. You are responsible for any charges incurred under your account.

8. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy [LINK TO PRIVACY POLICY]. By using SocioTown, you consent to the collection and use of information as described there.

9. Intellectual Property

SocioTown, including its software, graphics, characters, names, and all related content, is owned by OUTSIDE THE BOX SOFTWARE or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license to use the Service as intended, no rights are granted to you in our intellectual property.

10. Termination

You may stop using SocioTown and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately, and we may delete your account data, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

11. Disclaimers

SocioTown is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OUTSIDE THE BOX SOFWARE shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by other reasonable means. Continued use of SocioTown after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES without regard to its conflict of law principles.
